Texas !!

Well, we're not quite out of Texas yet.....when we leave, next week, we'll have been travelling in the state around 67 days. There is SO much to see and do in Texas...we're just "scratching the surface".

You'll see our numbers on the RV Spots go out west then come back to Fredericksburg. Reason being....when we got to San Angelo, our driver's side tire on our tow dolly FELL OFF ! Fortunately, the van was not on it at the time. Turns out the bearings wore out and it wore away the insides of the wheel and we had to order an entire new brake assembly from Roadmaster. That was not the problem. The problem was that the Spindle, which is what attached it all to the axle, got damaged. Roadmaster had to make a new spindle. While that was going on, we rented a UHaul auto transport and went to Fort Stockton, then back east to Fredericksburg before returning to San Angelo to retrieve our now-repaired tow dolly. From there, we went to Carlsbad Caverns (okay, it's not in Texas).

Today we're in Canyon about to descend into Palo Duro Canyon for 3 days. Then Amarillo, then into New Mexico and, in a week, we'll be spending a month in the southern Utah desert spots (Arches, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Bryce, Zion, etc).
